It's never too late to live happily ever after!

THE TROUBLE WITH LOVE
To catch a thief, Susannah Quinn, a by-the-book deputy, and D. E. Hogan (just call me Hogan), an undercover FBI agent, pose as husband and wife. Can two mismatched, pretend lovers, caught in a comedy of errors courtship, catch a thief, recover stolen jewels – and resist the sweet siren call of desire?

My romantic comedy The Trouble With Love is being serialized by Romantic4Ever.com with a new chapter published each month. The story is up to Chapter 10 with all the chapters there so you can read from the beginning if you've missed this little gem before.

Happy reading!

Soundtrack

Don't forget to listen to the soundtrack I've created to enhance your reading experience. I'm updating the playlist this month with songs to reflect each chapter.

Look for the soundtrack on either of my blogs Sling Words and Joan Slings Words.

Open a tab at The Trouble With Love then open another tab at either of my blogs. Scroll to the bottom of the blog page where you'll see the Player. Click Play. Then go back to the tab where my novel is displayed and start reading. The music will play until you hit Stop or you close the tab.

JUST ONE LOOK
This cover is the hardcover edition from Five Star Publishers, a division of Thomson-Gale. You may find the cover does not well represent this funny romance. With apologies to the artist, this book is proof that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! This comedy of errors courtship between two doctors proves there's still a little high school in all of us!

"Before today, she hadn't laid eyes on him in over fifteen years. Dallas was a big place. There was no reason why she shouldn't go another fifteen without seeing him again. Two days later, Jennifer discovered one very good reason why Matt Penrose must have reappeared in her life. ...Fate. That was the only explanation, she thought, peeking out from behind a potted palm in a corner of the Ballroom...."

JANE I'M-STILL-SINGLE JONES
Despite her ownership of a successful business in New York, Jane Louise Jones is nervous about her impending high school reunion. It's as bad as she feared when she's given a name tag emblazoned with her single status -- as if that's the most important thing in life.

The only thing that makes the reunion bearable is that Morgan Sherwood, the guy who broke her heart in their senior year, isn't there. Morgan, now unbelievably handsome -- and rich too -- arrives at the last minute with a plan to woo Jane and make her fall in love with him.

True love and second chances. What more could you ask for in a romantic comedy?

LOVE WILL FIND A WAY
This is the first of the Ulverscroft, Large Print Editions, ISBN 978-1-84782-415-8 released.

Texan Darcy Benton would give anything to be the kind of woman who could captivate her new boss Chase Whitaker. However, the sexy CEO would hardly fall for someone like Darcy, with her plain Jane wardrobe. Enter Darcy's matchmaking pal Janet who transforms Darcy into a hottie worthy of Chase's attention.

Darcy lets her hair down and swaps her boxy suits for slinky dresses, and Chase is intrigued -- and ready for anything. . . including true love.

MOST WANTED
Last year, I marketed my Large Print Rights and was lucky enough to sell 6 of my back list titles to Ulverscroft. They were published in 2009. The first release in Large Print was Love Will Find A Way, shown on this page also. This book is a sequel to Love Will Find A Way. I'm pleased with the production qualities of these books, and I hope they'll be checked out often from libraries. Be sure and request them at your local library.

STILL THE ONE
This is the hardcover edition cover from Five Star Publishers, a division of Thomson-Gale.

This romantic comedy is a story of love, laughter, and maybe - just maybe - happily ever after is a marriage of convenience story (or is that a marriage of INconvenience?) about two people who are given that rarest of gifts - a second chance.

"Ally Fletcher had waited six years - six long years - for this opportunity. There was no way a mere thunderstorm was going to stop her."

Don't you love the old rock and roll standard Still The One? I do. Let me tell you how my book Still The One came to life. I've attended a lot of weddings and have waited, breath held, each time the minister asked: "Does anyone here know why this man and this woman shouldn't be joined in holy matrimony?" No one has ever yelled, "Stop the wedding." But, what if someone did? What would happen?

That train of thought intruded into my writer's brain at a wedding I attended a few years ago. What if someone spoke up because they were still married to the groom? Whoa! Now that's a situation rife with conflict - and humor! Thus Ally and Burke jumped onto paper.

How could two people who really loved each other end up broken apart? More importantly, how can they learn from past mistakes and get back together? Sounds like serious subject matter, but I wanted also to show the underlying humor from the whole bizarre situation. I think I succeeded, but you be the judge of that. I hope you'll get your copy of the book and have as much fun reading it as I had writing it.

SAY YES
Last year, I marketed my Large Print Rights and was lucky enough to sell 6 of my back list titles to Ulverscroft. They'll be published over the next year. My author copies for the most recent book arrived just after New Year's. Sweet! The first two releases were Love Will Find A Way and Most Wanted, shown on this page also. I'm pleased with the production qualities of these books, and I hope they'll be checked out often from libraries. Be sure and request them at your local library.

SUMMER'S FORTUNE
This is the hardcover edition from Five Star Publishers, a division of Thomson-Gale. Since it's set in Texas, the cover design of bluebonnets, the Texas State Flower, is very appropriate.

What happens when a woman goes millionaire hunting in Houston? Read Summer's Fortune for the answer. "Summer closed her mind to the past and gunned the engine. Gravel pinged against the undercarriage of the car until she got out onto the asphalt country road. She slid the shift lever into drive and headed for Houston. A long day of driving in the hot Texas sun lay ahead of her. Then she'd know if all the planning, all the money and time she'd spent on herself, had been worth it."
